Claudia Schiffer With more than 500 magazine covers behind her, Claudia Schiffer has proven that she is more than just a blond bombshell.

Discovered at 17 in a Dusseldorf disco, by Michel Levaton, boss of the Metropolitan Model Agency, Claudio soon made her debut in French Elle, igniting major interest around Europe.

She was chosen by Karl Lagerfeld to be the new Face of Chanel. Claudia's introduction to the American public quickly followed, with a high profile ad campaign for the newly launched Guess? jeans label - most famously featured in Wayne's World in 1992 (with the description "She's magically babelicious").

In addition to securing contracts for Revlon and Chanel, Claudia worked for Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Jil Sander. She also became the first model to make the cover of Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, the New York Times and People.

Claudia's astute business acumen has earned her lucrative sponsorship deals with Pepsi and she has made several fitness videos and books. In 1998, she famously stripped off for the Citroën Xsara "Only Thing To Be Seen In" campaign, which reportedly brought her £3 million.

Claudia was engaged to TV magician David Copperfield for six. In 2000, she met Lock, Stock producer Matthew Vaughn. The couple married in May 2002 and have a son, Caspar and daughter Clementine.
